Using Iron Orchid Designs Erasable Liquid Chalk and Stamps

Using Iron Orchid Designs Erasable Liquid Chalk and Stamps

I haven't done a blog post in awhile, I think I will just blame it on Covid and the craziness of 2020.

I started the morning planing to do a video but remembered my youngest daughter had borrowed my tripod.  She inadvertently took a part of it back to North Carolina with her. Of course it was the part that held my phone or I-Pad so that was a no-go. I decided to make do and hopefully, you can see how amazing these products are through photos!

I started with a scrap piece of wood that I painted with DIY's Little Black Dress.

DIY Paint is very porous and works well as a chalkboard.  I used the new Iron Orchid Designs Retro Stamp.  The letters are large and are so versatile for stamping.  The rim edge makes a crisp stamp.  You can leave it like that or color in the inside with paint, chalk or whatever you choose!

All new stamps come with thin plastic-like masks for each stamp.  Masks allow you to stamp on top of an already stamped image and makes it appear to be behind it.  We have an entire video on masking and if you need further instruction please watch it! I used the H mask and the F mask to stamp leaves over the top.

Hopefully this makes sense now!!.  Before they included the masks you had to stamp them, cut them out and then use them.  Now you can use them over and over as you just wipe off the ink with a baby wipe or paper towel and reuse them again.

As the name implies, when you want to change your chalkboard, sign, or window just use a baby wipe or damp paper towel to erase off and start all over with a new design.  All of the new Iron Orchid Designs letter stamps have made the possibilities endless!   Should you desire to keep your design just seal it with something like DIY Top Coat and it will be permanent.

You can purchase all products on our website and we are glad to ship!
